Why you'll like it

• Secure U-shaped cradle: The fixture body drops between two upright arms, and retaining lips near the top keep it seated.
• Flush mounting: Each bracket has a solid 10 mm base with two recessed #6 screw holes, so the hardware sits flush and pulls tight against a wooden enclosure ceiling or a shelf.
• Out of the way: The brackets sit above and behind the lamp, out of the direct UVB path.

Why PETG instead of PLA

• Handles the heat: A T5 HO fixture warms the air and surfaces around it, and PLA starts softening at roughly 55 to 60°C. PETG holds its shape up to a glass transition of around 80°C, so it won't sag or creep under the weight of the fixture during long daily light cycles.
• Handles the moisture: PETG absorbs very little water, roughly 0.2% or less by weight, so it won't swell, warp or weaken from misting, humid substrates or the moisture swings of tropical and desert setups.
• Easy to clean: It is chemically resistant enough to wipe down with standard reptile-safe enclosure cleaners.
